When it comes to sharing Fairy Tales with millions of children, no company can compare to Disney. For nearly a century, Disney has brought characters to the small and big screen, not to mention books and other products, giving children the opportunity to fall in love with princes and princesses, wizards and outcasts. The array of Disney characters is vast enough that just about any child should be able to find a character worthy of being represented in a costume.

For the girl who likes to feel frilly, Disney offers a wide range of princesses to imitate. Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella and Belle all have gauzy gowns that they wear. Snow White's is simpler but with a regal touch, while Ariel has a fish tail to contend with. Jasmine and Pocahontas have more exotic dresses, while Tiana's reflects the fashions of the 1920s.

For young men, there are the typical prince costumes, though many Disney princes don't actually come into the story very much. More interesting are heroes like Aladdin, who wanders the streets with his monkey Abu, and Mowgli, who lives in the jungle with his animal friends. Both of these costumes require minimal clothing. Another excellent option is Bert, the chimney sweep who is a great friend to Mary Poppins. Because he wears several different costumes in the movie, it's possible to be Chimney Sweep Bert or Kite-Flying Bert, giving the character great versatility.

Of course, animals are featured in many Disney movies, and there's no reason that kids should feel restricted to human characters. Boys and girls alike can don orange sweatsuits and portray Winnie the pooh or white sweatsuits decorated with polka dots in order to be a Dalmatian hiding from the evil intentions of Cruella De Vil.

Meanwhile, villains make great costumes as well. Halloween is largely about getting scared, so it makes sense to dress up as a creepy character such as the wicked queen who has it in for Snow White or the hideous hag who threatens Merlin and Arthur in "The Sword in the Stone."

With so many characters to choose from, there's a Disney costume for everyone.

How many costumers does Disneyland get a day?

If by "costumers" you mean "people who work for Disney and make costumes" I have no idea. If you mean "people who wear costumes to the park but are not otherwise affiliated with Disney" ... not that many, on a percentage basis; adults are officially not allowed to wear "costumes", though you can get away with wearing something that's more or less regular clothing but SUGGESTS a character (for example, brown pants and a red shirt are all it takes to get me pretty close to Doc the dwarf).

Disney Costumes for the Family without the Royal Price Tag?

Dressing as a favorite Disney character is a rite of passage for many children and adults too. However, costumes can be expensive. A few smart shopping tips will get your youngster ready to fly "to infinity and beyond" without breaking the bank. As soon as school is back in session, Halloween costumes fill store shelves. Unfortunately, this is also the most expensive time to purchase a Disney costume. As Halloween draws nearer, many stores begin to markdown costumes by as much as 30 to 40 percent. Online stores offer percentage discounts as well as coupon codes to help shoppers save money in the weeks just prior to Halloween, but selection is more limited. Luckily, Disney costumes are popular year-round, so if you can wait until November, you can often score your daughter's favorite Disney princess costume for half off the retail price. Then you will have saved enough to buy the tiara and sparkly shoes. Costumes purchased for Halloween are often worn only once. Another cost-saving tip is to buy your Disney costumes from your favorite thrift store or on you favorite online auction site. As an added bonus, many thrift store purchases benefit worthy causes. So in addition to saving money, you are supporting an organization which helps others in need. Bargain hunters with crafting skills can make their Disney costume from scratch or embellish lower-cost costumes, to make them look like their more expensive counterparts. Homemade tiaras, will add sparkly to any princess gown. Cool purses, which do double-duty as Halloween candy keepers for trick-or-treaters, add flair to your little girl's Hanna Montana look. Bandanas and inexpensive hook earrings complete your little one's transformation into the pirate Jack Sparrow. Disney costumes are not just for kids either, and Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, held throughout October at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom, is the perfect place for grown-ups to participate in the Disney dress-up fun too. Guest take pride in choosing the character they want to portray, often making most, if not all of their costumes themselves.

Costumes For The Baby In Your Life?

As strange as it sounds, Halloween is a season of togetherness. Despite all the spooky objects floating in the air and the consensus that it's a night of the dead, for most people Halloween is just plain fun. It's possible to enjoy the season no matter what age you are. For babies, their first Halloweens are in the hands of their parents. They're not old enough to tell parents what their favorite cartoon character is, so it's up to you to determine what kind of memories you'll share with them someday. For many parents, the first few Halloweens are simple. Since the baby can't decide what it wants to "go as" on Halloween, just about any costume is going to make them happy. Not only that, but since they are so naturally adorable on their own, any costume you dress them in is going to make them all that much more adorable. Popular baby costumes include animal costumes, as in cute animal costumes. It's not unusual to see babies dressed as puppies or kittens on Halloween. There are just as many unbaby type costumes, for example the devil costume. Since the baby is naturally adorable, even dressing him or her as a devil will bring out the inner cuteness each baby possesses. Pictures are important for these first few Halloween costumes since the baby won't be able to remember what it went as during its first Halloween or three. It's up to every parent to ensure that they pick out a great costume that will give their kids pleasant memories when they look at the snapshots and videos of the first Halloweens they experienced on earth. Fortunately there are thousands of awesome baby costumes to choose from, each of them just as diverse as any other Halloween costume demographic. Parents know their babies better than anyone else, so it's likely that you'll be able to spot the perfect one for the special baby in your life. You'll know the moment you see it that your kid was meant to go as a cute kitten or a cute devil. Choose costumes that reflect the personality of your baby, and your Halloween will take care of itself.
