Cream Cheese frosting is a nice alternative to traditional butter cream or store-bought icings. It provides a nice tang with sweet things like cinnamon buns, carrot cupcakes or pumpkin bread. Smother it on anything and you will be addicted, guaranteed!

  • 1 pound cream cheese, softened
  • 2 sticks unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 4 cups confectioners’ sugar
  1. Mix butter, cream cheese and vanilla in bowl until smooth.
  2. Slowly, add confectioners' sugar 1 cup at a time. When fully incorporated, stop beating immediately.
  3. Store cream cheese in refrigerator. Before using, bring to room temperature for about 30 minutes.
