The last decade has easily been the 'Decade of the Zombie' with some of the greatest Horror movies having a zombie element. That means that this is the perfect time to get a couple of friends in zombie costumes and go and ravage the town looking for brains. Thankfully, a zombie costume is fairly simple, and best of all shouldn't break your budget. All it is going to take is some old clothes, and a lot of gore that you can put anywhere you want. The greatest part about Zombies is how creative you can be!

Since a zombie costume is going to consist of a person that has risen from the dead, you can go with any theme you would like. That means you can go for the traditional ripped and torn clothes, sallowed face, blood dribbling from the mouth while you lurch and moan across the room, or you can put a fun spin on it! What about a cheerleader zombie, or even a superhero zombie? Any costume can be 'zombified' into an all new and interesting variation that will take people by surprise.

Was last year's costume really fantastic, and lots of people commented about it? Why not revisit it, but this year make a zombie costume out of it? Was it revealing? Add lacerations to your legs and arms, or possibly hide one of your limbs entirely! Anything from an angel to a storm trooper can be turned into a zombie with a little creativity. In an age where we mix genres as quickly as possible, taking anything and adding a zombie costume template on top of it almost seems natural at this point. So whether you go with a normal zombie costume that features all of the old truisms of your arms raised while you hunt the land looking for brains, or you took Darth Vader and somehow made it so he is a raging undead on the prowl for Jedi minds, make sure to do it up right and have a fantastic Halloween.
