By doing what they're doing: improving the 747 and introducing the 787 for smaller passenger loads.
People can talk all they want about how the A380 is going to kill Boeing all by itself; I don't see it. That plane makes sense if you're trying to get 500 to 800 passengers between two specific airports. If you wanted to fly 1000 people from Atlanta to Chicago, you could do it in two trips of the A380, or four trips of a Boeing 767. No-brainer, right? Use the A380. I wouldn't for a couple of reasons--it's expensive enough you would only have one, so every time the plane needs maintenance you have to fiddle with the schedule. Also, by flying loads of 250 people at a time you can let people have more options as to when they fly.
There's another problem with the A380 no one's discussing yet: Infrastructure past the flightline. Five hundred passengers--800 if you're flying an all-economy plane--means at least 500 bags, more parking, bigger rental car lots, more restaurants...and don't forget TSA checkpoints. The fact most places don't have enough airport for this plane means it will have somewhat limited impact. It's the kind of plane you want for overseas trips. It's NOT the kind of plane you want to get people from LAX to SeaTac.
6 stone at the most i think.
No, it is not necessary to italicize airplane names. Proper names for specific models of planes such a the Boeing 787 and the Airbus A380, or an airline name such a Southwest Airlines and Jet Blue Airways are proper nouns and should be capitalized.
I know from a very recent guided tour in the Airbus Finkenwerder facilities, that an airbus 321 contains approx. 500.000 rivets. Accordingly I should suppose, that an A300 contains considerably more.
Why not? The General Administration of Civil Aviation of China stated that China would have 1,580 aircraft by 2010, nearly double the current number. Chinese carriers may buy about 2,600 new aircraft by 2024. Chinese carriers are one of the major clients for Boeing and Airbus. There are no reasons to turn down Chinese's purchasing order! Their orders help secure jobs in the U.S. aviation industry.
The Boeing 787 is currently in development, and should enter service in 2011. It has recently completed its test flight which was a great success for Boeing, since they have delayed production of the 787 a lot.
Easiest way to do it is look for the model number on the airplan itself. It should be inscribed on the fuselage and should look like this.... Boeing 777-200 or B777-200 depeding on the airline's painting and markings.
