This is a very vague question because a passenger plane can be any fixed-wing aircraft that carries passengers, but I will assume you are talking about the planes that are found at major airports around the world that most people go to vacation on. They are called airliners, because they are owned by an airline company. An airliner may be as big as a Candair Regional Jet CRJ 700... all the way to the Airbus A380. Boeing and Airbus are popular aircraft manufacturers that many airlines purchase from. Now, passenger planes can also include Private/Executive Jets, small twin engine planes such as the BeechCraft King Air, or the Cessna 208 Caravan.
