The flight path varies dramatically, I've seen the planes take 4 routes:
The typical flight path is over the Yorkshire dales and Central Scotland. The second most common route is heading north towards Manchester and then turning northwest towards Belfast. The third most common route is heading west over the Brecon Beacons in Wales then northwest to Dublin. Although very rare and not used very often, the planes head directly north taking them over York, Newcastle, the North Sea and Aberdeenshire.

London (LON) to Vancouver, BC (YVR) Shortest Flight Duration 9 hours 20 mins
Using this as an example; The flight path from Vancouver to London (using London Heathrow Airport) would ypically travel northeast over Canada, then over the tip of Greenland, then down towards Northern Ireland, then across to Liverpool and finally south-east towards Birmingham and Oxford before approaching London.
Flight paths should be due west but for some odd reason they fly in what looks like a lowercase 'n' on the map.
From London to Vancouver is 9.5 hours. Then from Vancouver to Kelowna is another 45min flight or a 4 hour drive. There are no direct flights
There are no direct flights from London City Airport to Vancouver. Most flights from this airport are short haul except for one daily flight to and from New York. The easiest way is to travel from London Heathrow to Vancouver.

A flight from Vancouver to London would be about 10 hours if you can find a direct flight. Otherwise you would need to factor in stopovers. I do believe there are a number of direct flights.
The flight path follows a Northeast direction.
I would guess 14.5 hours based on Vancouver/London = 9.30 and London/Cairo = 5
It is called a "Great Circle Route." However, the flight doesn't pass over either Vancouver, WA or Vancouver, BC.
The approximate flight duration from Vancouver, Canada to London, UK is 9 hours and 57 minutes. So, if a plane leaves Vancouver at 11 am it will land in London at approximately 8.57 pm.
