it's first flight was 15 April 1952
The 'Buff' was special because it's so tough, flew heavy loads and long distances.
Boeing aircraft company = introduced in l952 hence the name. still, in uprated and modified form- in the running- or flight of the Bomber Command of USAF- earlier called SAC.
The B52 bomber did not make it's first flight until 1952, so there was no B52 made during WWII.
Yup, during a flight test in 1964. The aircraft in question encountered 'severe' clear-air turbulance that almost crashed the bomber - the skill and calm of the entire flight team saved it. Oddly, that plane is still in service today. Check for the story at (http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_pnav/is_200303/ai_2753305172).
It is a bomber for the USAF.
I would think that b-2 is better then b-52
The B-52 is the best airforce bomber we have ever had.
