Info need'd on wiring starter of 454 big block Chevy?

The positive battery cable goes on the big terminal, in the center. Ignition wire, from the fuse box, ultimately the key, goes to the inside terminal on the selenoid. Then, I wlould run a wire from the outside small terminal, to the coil. This will give the motor 12 volts, while cranking.

Why 1996 camaro won't start has no power to starter ignition switch is good?

1. bad starter selenoid 2. blown fuse in the circuit 3. bad ground at the starter (not likely, but possible) Start at the starter, with a test light, and work your way back through the curcuit until you find power. That's where the problem will be. If the starter has no power move to the selenoid. If the selenoid had no power in the switch circuit move to the fuse. If the selenoid has no power on the battery side move to the fusable link. Keep working your way to the ignition switch.

Why would the earth terminal get hot when the car is off?

This depends what Earth Terminal you mean The one on the top of the battery, You may have a bad battery. Disconect it and come back in 24 hours and see if it is dead. Not dead means that there is a short in the electrical system and this terminal needs cleaning. If the battery is dead the battery is bad, replace it. If this is another terminal and gets hot and stays hot it means there is a large draw on the system and this terminal is dirty and requires cleaning. The hot terminal is allways the highest resistance in the system. Good Luck

Honda crx alternator wiring?

To wire the alternator on a Honda CRX, start by identifying the main components: the battery terminal, the ignition or "S" terminal, and the field or "L" terminal. Connect the battery terminal to the positive battery cable, ensuring a secure connection. The "S" terminal connects to the ignition switch, while the "L" terminal connects to the dashboard indicator light. Always refer to a service manual for your specific model year for detailed wiring diagrams and safety precautions.

Cleaning the battery terminals had nothing to do with the engine not idling properly. Just a coincidence.

Put battery charger on sears mower and engine starts to turn over as soon as the charger is pluged in?

Sounds like the starter relay or solenoid is stuck. Check the selenoid - the selenoid might be stuck closed which would cause the starter to turn because the power wouldn't be shut off from the battery. Or it may be the ignition switch is stuck in the start position.
