bad rack and pinion
soounds like steering wheel fluid needs to up
many reasons, steering pump, cv joints may be going out, or you could be grinding some plastic that goes around the wheel
There could be a problem in the steering linkage but most likely, the power steering pump is bad or low in fluid
If its making a horrible grinding noise, it could be the bearing!
Bad wheel bearings usually cause a grinding noise, and are known to only cause it when turning.
most grinding noises that come from turning is usually a cv axle that needs to be replaced. Can also be a bad wheel bearing. If you hear the grinding when turning to the right then the left front wheel bearing is bad.
Power steering pump/fluid maybe
the gear box may be going out or its metal on metal rubing somewhere
the dealership told me that it is due to the steering column needing to be lubricated
power steering fluid not filled?
Check the steering fluid reservoir - it will probably need topping up - MAKE SURE YOU USE THE CORRECT TYPE
engine problems not trans.
