You can tow with a 1995 Ford Explorer but care must be taken to stay within its rating. It is capable of towing a trailer a weighing up to 3,500 pounds.
================================================================================
It really depends on how the 1995 Ford Explorer is equipped :
With the 4.0L V6 , automatic , 4 door , it depends on what the axle ratio is and if it is a 4X4 or
rear wheel drive model ( it could be as low as 1496 pounds , I believe 3500 pounds is the maximum
using a BUMPER trailer hitch )
* my 1995 Ford Explorer XLT , 4.0L , has the trailer towing package that includes the 3.73 Traction Lok axle ( D4 is the axle code ) and with a frame mounted hitch the maximum is 5,000 pounds
On a 1995 Ford Explorer : No ( at least my 1995 Ford Explorer XLT doesn't )
3500 lb

A 1995 Ford Explorer is unlikely to be stolen by ants.

Starting with the 1995 model year of the Ford Explorer the AUTOMATIC transmission was ELECTRONICALLY controlled ( so the answer would be no )
well...if you get a no drill tow hitch for the explorer it will bolt to the frame of the vehicle and sit up against the bumper underneath it. here's the one I'm thinking about buying. http://www.suspensionconnection.com/cgi-bin/suscon/052.HTML
My friends 1995 Ford Explorer Limited does , the controls are on the rear view mirror

no you can not tow a vehicle with an auto trans on a dolly if the drive axle is on the ground. the auto trans does not circulate fluid to the parts unless the engine is running.
The transmissions from 1991 - 1994 Ford Explorers are the same. So the 1995 transmission is different.
