To replace the ignition lock on a 2004 Saturn Vue, first disconnect the battery to ensure safety. Then, remove the steering column cover by unscrewing any visible screws. Use a key to turn the ignition to the "On" position, and locate the release tab on the ignition lock cylinder; press this tab while pulling the cylinder out. Finally, insert the new ignition lock cylinder and reassemble the steering column cover before reconnecting the battery.
