You can bypass your 1988 Buick Skylark heater core by removing the heater core water supply hoses. There will be to water hoses. Connect the water hoses to each other.
The heater core is mounted to the passenger side firewall on the 1988 Buick Electra 307. The blower motor needs to be removed to access the heater core.
Go to a GM dealer's parts department or service department. They would know.
You may be able to get a diagram of the fuse box from a GM dealer's parts dept. or service center.

There's a round cover on the bottom of the engine oil pan, you need a special tool to remove it, it's inside that hole.
Inside the vehicle, under the dash, passenger side, next to the firewall. Raise the hood and find the heater hoses going to the heater core. This will tell you the location inside the vehicle.
