I just had mine broken in a car wash yesterday. It appears to be a star set screw that you access by dropping the dome light. That should release the base and enable you to change it fairly easy. Now I just need to find the part. I also had mine broken at a automated car wash. I got a short stub on ebay. The sellers isn't the best in getting it sent but I finally got mine. I will let you know if it fits okay. Thank you for letting me know how to get the old one out. I was having trouble with that.

To replace the antenna on a Ford Focus remove the antenna from the base using a screwdriver. Remove the lighting assembly hose with a small key. Remove the plug in wires and the plastic housing. Put the new antenna base in place than screw in the new antenna.
