I don't know about other years, but this works on my 2003. First, open the hood. Remove the plastic cap covering at the pivot point for the wiper arm using pliers (or pry it off with a thin blade). Remove the 13mm nut you just exposed. Use a removal tool, channel-locks, or a large flat screwdriver or lug wrench (the bent type with a large flat blade) to lift/pry the wiper arm off the pivot. Just be careful not to scratch the paint or break the windshield.
