Very few aftermarket ones will, Sony used to make a model that would in the 1990's but it may not be available anymore. Only factory stereos from cars with steering wheel controls have the plug on the back to accept the wiring from the steering wheel controls.
Wiggle the steering wheel back and forth and run the transmission shifter down then put it firmly back into park.
Check under the dashboard, to the left of the steering column.

The steering wheel cover on a 1991 Honda Civic DX is held on by several mounting screws. Remove all the hardware and the steering covers will just pop off.

steering wheel has to be pulled off and then you can take the top cover off the steering column to get to the screws that hold the switch in.

Pop the horn button off. Under that is the larger nut that holds the wheel in place. Afte that is removed, use a steering wheel puller to remove the wheel.
Does it have airbags ? If not the centre of the steering wheel will have a removable badge or logo, remove this and you will see a nut that needs to be loosened with a wrench/socket
