Hook up your can of 134a to the low pressure side of the AC system. if you have found both ports it is the smaller of the 2. the cap may even say 'L' on it. Have the engine runnign and the AC system on. Most AC compressors will not turn "ON" until they have a minimum of 20-25 psi pressure in them. (keeps them from damage) Add refridgerant. As you add the compressor will turn on and shut off again and again as it moves the refridgerant through the system. at 70 degrees you need to charge an American made system to 30 PSI- 35 max. By this point the compressor will be on all the time. IF you have 25-30 psi on the guage and the compressor will not turn on STOP! you have other problems.
Have you checked the fuses?
R134 _ Well Mine did
The spark plug gap setting on a 1994 Buick Century is .055 inches. A new spark plug will come preset from the factory and should not need adjusting.
The check engine light can come on if the refrigerant is low on some models. Check the trouble code to verify. The A/C compressor will not make all the lights come on and will rarely cause it to quit running, unless the compressor siezes.
my headlights wont come on at night i changed the sensor and still not coming on
Buick made ABS standard on all cars in 1992 i think, but don't hold me to that. :-D But I know for a fact that the 1999 Buick Century came with ABS standard. New to 1999 though was an optional traction control, and you can't have traction control without ABS.
The low traction light comes on in the 2003 Buick Century if the road is icy or if the road is wet. This is a warning light to let the driver know to slow down. If the light is coming on for no reason, the tires might be the problem. Bald tires can cause this light to come on.
If the compressor will not come on at all, it is not because the system needs charging. Check for a blown fuse, disconnected wire at the compressor, or a defective compressor clutch.
The compressor on my bus failed causing the emergency brakes to come on.
On my 96 it's held on by that one bolt in the middle of it. But it's seriously on there; will not come loose without some muscle.
Blades are pressed onto posts on the end of the wiper arms. Just pull and wiggle and they'll come off.
I believe that is the harmonic balancer. If that has failed, you will get engine vibrations at the lower speeds. It should be replaced.
