The typical backyard mechanic cannot do this, unless he adjusts bands for a living. You will need different size pins to mave the bands in or out. Special parts, special order only.
Turbo 350 does not have bands while the turbo 400 does. Adjustment is on the left (I believe) side and is done in inch pounds not sure of the specs.
Since when did the 350 transmission not have a band? Last time I was in one there was a band. I have found if these are slipping in either the th350 or th400 you may as well pull it down and do a rebuild before you tear something else out. In a th350 usually the center support is the main culprit Yes all adjustments are in inch pounds. If you need to know more contact me
None, TH stands for turbo-hydromatic, hence th350 or 350 turbo.

The yoke on the driveshaft of a gm turbo 350 trans has a small vent hole in it. If the trans is over filled to the point fluid comes out of it you will do serious damage to the trans if you try to drive the vehicle.
NO it will not. Not even close.
350 turbo automatic
You would need a ring gear for an automatic.
One and the same. The GM name for that trans is turbohydramatic.

Yes, you can replace a Turbo 350 transmission with a Turbo 400 transmission, but there are some considerations. The Turbo 400 is larger and heavier, so you may need to modify the transmission crossmember and possibly the driveshaft. Additionally, you'll need to ensure compatibility with your vehicle's engine and adjust the shift linkage. Always consult a professional or detailed guides specific to your vehicle for the best results.
