Open the tailgate and remove the two retaining screws that hold the light housing in place. You would expect the housing to then slide free when pulled toward you - it doesn't. That's because there is a small metal pin protruding at a right angle from the light housing that push-fits into a hole in the car's flank. That's what continues to hold the housing in place.
It can be freed by wiggling the light to loosen it as much as possible and then running something soft and flexible (so as not to damage your paintwork) but reasonably firm between the top edge of the light housing and the car body. I used the butt end of a nylon measuring spoon. That should pop the pin out of it's retaining hole, the light housing will then slide free, allowing you to change the bulb.
Good luck!
