The headlight dimmer switch is located on the end of the lever. Remove the steering column so the lever can be properly reached.
It is probably the dimmer switch. The contacts in the switch will get pushed back and when you switch to dims they will not touch. Had the same problem on my 91 Nissan.
The oil pressure on 91 Silverado 350 is at the rear of the engine on the driver's side, This unit is usually found above the oil filter.Ê
A 4L60E would not fit on a 91 Silverado because of the different dimensions.
It should be a TH700-R4
my experience with that problem was to just change the switch itself cause it may either have a short or it finally went dead
To replace the dimmer switch on a 1994 Chevrolet Astro, first disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent any electrical mishaps. Remove the steering column covers to access the switch. Unplug the wiring harness connected to the dimmer switch and unscrew it from the steering column. Replace the old dimmer switch with a new one and reassemble the steering column covers before reconnecting the negative battery cable.
There is no adjustment. It has a tensoner that keeps the belt tight.
