leave this to the pros, struts are hard to do safely without special equipment to compress springs

Remove rear seat, them remove rear deck to get to the speakers.
Struts in the front, shocks in the rear.
there are NO speakers in the "rear" doors of a Neon.

The Dodge Intrepid does not have rear struts. This automobile has rear shocks and springs. The shocks can be removed by removing the retaining bolts on the top and bottom of the shock. Reverse the process to install the new shocks.
