To change the PCV valve in a 1998 Pontiac Transport, first locate the valve, which is typically found on the valve cover or connected to the intake manifold. Disconnect the hose attached to the old PCV valve, then twist and pull the valve out of its socket. Replace it with a new PCV valve, making sure it fits securely, and reconnect the hose. Finally, start the engine to ensure proper installation and check for any leaks.
on a 1998 Pontiac gan am ,they do not have a pcv valve.
There is a great write-up with pics on how to change the PCV valve at: http://macgp.clubgp.com/howto/pcv/pcv.html Hope this helps. G
Sorry I am not sure how to describe this, but this is a diagram of a Bonneville and its in the exact same location,
located about 12 inches right of oil fill cap.attached to front valve cover.
The PCV valve on a 2002 Pontiac Bonneville is located on the back of the in take manifold, however to get to the PCV valve you will need to remove the valve cover.
Try changing the pcv valve. Also check for blockage on the tube going to it.
The PCV is non-serviceable. It cannot be replaced.
The PCV valve is located on the back side valve cover. It should be a plug in type and easy to change.
Pontiac don't carry pcv valves

Pull straight up on the PCV valve to remove it from the valve cover, then pull off the hose from the PCV valve, install the new one by doing the opposite of removal.
