the slave cylander is located in the transmission on the 2002 Ford Ranger. Better see a mechanic to do the job.
The slave cylinder is INSIDE the transmission bellhousing , it slides over the transmission input shaft , and then is bolted to the transmission. To change the slave cylinder the transmission has to be removed , but the slave cylinder line can be blead from the bleeder outside of the transmission bellhousing
To change the slave cylinder on a 2002 Saab 9-5, first, safely lift the vehicle and remove the transmission to access the slave cylinder. Disconnect the hydraulic line and remove the retaining bolts for the slave cylinder. Install the new slave cylinder, reconnect the hydraulic line, and bleed the clutch system to remove any air. Finally, reassemble the transmission and lower the vehicle.

5 quarts ( 4.7 liters ) with oil filter change
You will have to REMOVE the transmission and when you look in the bell-housing you will see the slave cyclinder. Remove the 4 bolts that hold it in place and replace it.

You dont really have to bench bleed the cylinder. It makes it easier to get the air out after its put on. If you dont bench bleed it, you just have to pump it until your leg wears out to get all the air out of the line.
