I often tear off a small amount of plastic scouring pad, the type used in your kitchen to clean the pans, then I work that around inside the socket until the contacts are relatively free from rust and corrosion. After it's clean use an automotive dielectric grease to protect the socket from further corrosion.
the best way is to use a small round brush to clean it up. but if it is too bad it will need replaced. but make sure where bulb contacts socket is clean and free of dirt. you can even use a piece of a dry abrasive pad as used for scrubbing pots and pans.
could be the bulb is bad or the socket is corroded or the wiring to it is damaged.
Bad bulb or corroded or defective socket.
Look at the socket itself. Wires could be burnt or even inside socket corroded or burnt. The light bulb socket assembly cost around $40. It is best to change it. Pretty much self explanatory. You can wiggle the bulb and sometimes it woill work for awhile but it is a pain to keep messing with it so I suggest replacement
hi my name is josh i had the same problem check the terminals in the light socket they could be corroded that was my problem.... With a volt meter check to see if you have power to that socket. Check at the wire not the socket. If you find you have power, either the socket is corroded or broken. Also check the ground connection at that socket.
Burned out bulb, corroded socket, corroded/damaged wiring.
Check for a loose bulb Check for a corroded or bad light socket
Turn signals that do not work is almost always, a blown fuse, bad bulb, corroded socket, or a defective flasher relay. If the lights come on but do not flash, it is the flasher relay. If the light does not come on, the bulb is bad or the socket is corroded. If one light flashes very fast then your front/rear light may be burnt out. If no lights come on, then your fuse is blown.
its automatic if it doesn't turn on the bulb is out or the socket assembly is corroded and needs replacing.
Verify that wires to bulb socket are connected and not damaged. Verify that socket is not corroded. Verify that fuse and bulb really are good. Drew
Bad bulb? They are double filamented with the smaller being for stop lights Corroded socket? Bad ground?
Check for loose or corroded battery cablesCheck alternator output Should be 13.8-14.2 with engine running
