Other than pulling the fuse the controls the fan motor (located on the left side of the dash board with the driver's door open, right in the seam of the door and dash). The blower motor resistor may also be the problem. This seems to be very common in these vehicles and stops the fan from working on spped 1,2 or 3 or any combination thereof. It can be found behind the glove box. Release the tabs the hold the glove box up on either of it after you've opend it. looking directly behind the glove box, there is a plug with four or five wires running into it. The plug is held in place by two 5/16 screws (one on the top side, the other on the bottom). Once the screws have been removed you can remove the plug with the resistor attached by pulling straight back toward you. The wiring harness allows for this. The fan blower resistor looks like a black metal credit card and when that is removed from the plug it should also kill the power. Replacing the resistor is easy. There is a small red clip on the bottom of the resistor that slides up (not out) to release the resistor and then a replacement can be plugged in and re-inserted reversing the steps. I recently bought a new resistor and completed this repair myself after my fan stopped working on sppeds 1 and 2 (15mins). The resistor was only $16. from the dealer. Good luck!
Trying to replace passenger side tailight on a 2002 Jeep Liberty. Cannot disconnect the plug and the replacement connector looks different from the original! Thanks Jim
To replace the idle control valve on a 2002 Jeep Liberty Sport, first, disconnect the negative battery terminal to ensure safety. Next, locate the idle air control valve on the throttle body, disconnect the electrical connector, and remove the two screws holding the valve in place. After removing the old valve, clean the mounting surface, install the new valve, and secure it with screws. Finally, reconnect the electrical connector and the battery terminal, then start the engine to ensure proper operation.
To replace the driver side headlight on a 2004 Jeep Liberty, first, open the hood and locate the headlight assembly. Disconnect the power connector from the back of the headlight by pressing the tab and pulling it off. Remove the retaining clip or screws that hold the headlight in place, then pull the headlight assembly out. Insert the new headlight, secure it with the clip or screws, and reconnect the power connector before closing the hood.
You have to disconnect a lot of parts when changing an engine.
When all else fails, disconnect the battery and reconect it.
disconnect your battery for 45 secs and reconnect
Two wire connector, only has one wire in it though.
Excessive corrosion. Pull harder, Nancy.

# Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable. # Remove the screw that secures the inboard side of the front park/turn signal lamp unit to the front bumper fascia. # Pull the inboard side of the lamp away from the fascia far enough to disengage the tab that secures the outboard side of the lamp from the slot in the front bumper fascia. # Disengage the lock feature and disconnect the wire harness connector from the lamp socket. # Remove the front park/turn signal lamp unit from the vehicle.
