To fix an odometer in a Pontiac G6 that gives incorrect readings, you should first check the vehicle's speed sensor, as a malfunctioning sensor can lead to inaccurate readings. Inspect the wiring and connections for any damage or corrosion. If the sensor is functioning properly, consider resetting the vehicle's computer by disconnecting the battery for a few minutes. If issues persist, consulting a professional mechanic or using an OBD-II scanner for diagnostic trouble codes may be necessary.
If the speedo works and not the odometer, take it to the speedo shop as something is wrong in the speedo itself. You can't stop the odometer without stopping the speedo.
its a fuse
To correct a wrong odometer reading on a car title, you typically need to gather documentation proving the correct mileage, such as maintenance records or an odometer reading from a previous title. Then, contact your local Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) or equivalent authority to understand their specific process for making amendments. You may be required to fill out a form and provide the supporting documents. In some cases, a notarized statement may also be needed to verify the correction.
My speedometer works and the odometer does not because there is a plastic gear in the odometer that is broken.
Hey Tony==Either manual or electric spedo if this happens the problem in in the speedo and needs to go to the speedo shop. GoodluckJoe
wrong size tires.
Could you help us out by giving us a little more information? What, exactly, is wrong with your sunroof? FriPilot
There may be a broken gear inside the odometer.
To give an accrurate answer....what's wrong with it?
To figure out how to fix it, you need to start by figuring out what exactly is wrong with it.
The year, make, model and what's wrong with it info would help.
Hi, Can you clarify what is exactly wrong with the odometer? Those W210 cars have a sealed digital odometer. If one part of the display is faulty, you will need to have the whole unit replaced. Regards Mike S.
