The Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor is on the driver's side top of the front fule rail on the top of the engine. First, use a 8mm wrench/socket to loosen the negative battery cable and disconnect it. To take the old one out, unplug the clip on top of the fuel rail pressure sensor. Then pull out the vaccum line on the front of it. Use a 7mm wrench/socket to loosen the two bolts that hold it in place. Pull the sensor out (it may need to be twisted a little to loosen it as you pull). Install the new sensor and put the negative battery cable back on. This will all only take about 5 minutes. To change the fuel tank pressure sensor in a 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP, start by relieving the fuel system pressure and disconnecting the negative battery cable. Next, remove the fuel tank by unbolting it and lowering it carefully, then locate the pressure sensor on the top of the tank. Disconnect the electrical connector and remove the sensor from its mounting. Install the new sensor, reconnect the electrical connector, and reassemble the fuel tank, ensuring all connections are secure before reconnecting the battery.
