You have to have the dealers' scan tool. Basically only the dealer can do it.

No you don't.....I bought 2 off of eBay because I have a remote starter & having the same functions on the key would be redundant. You have to have at least one of the original keys to do the programming, do a Google search, on how to program the spare. It involves turning the the key on & off in the proper sequence & the doing the same with the new one. I bought 2 after market keys on eBay, had them cut at the hardware store, & have been using them everyday for the past 5 years.
