i have an 02 impala and i recently found out my bcm is bad. I found out that this is located on the left hand side of the steering column.... it should be the same in the 01 since the parts can be swapped in both cars. i hope this helps
NO......only Chevrolet dealer can program control modules, snap-on scanners can only collect data from modules not put data in. some shops other than dealers may have that capability but price wise it would be the same as dealer.
