To remove the glove box from a 1997 Chevrolet Silverado, start by opening the glove box and removing any contents. hi. Remove the glove box under the steering wheel by pressing the clips at the left and right hand side of the open glove box. The fuse box is behind this.
Resistor is located behind glove box. Remove 2 screw at bottom of glove box which attach hinges. Glove box comes right out. The resistor will be directly behind glove box. It will have a plug and 2 screws which hold it in place. Remove plug unscrew and pull out. Install in reverse order.

Assuming it's the same as a 94 C1500, Open the glove-box, remove the screws across the top and bottom, remove the cables that support the glove-box door, remove the glove box door, remove the glove box compartment. I have a 95 K1500, you just have to squeeze the top of the glove box, clear the mount and then remove the plastic strap on the left side, and then open the glove box fully it just fall down, no need to unscrew anything.
