After jacking up the car take off the 5 19mm (or 21 i cant remember) lugnuts. pull off the wheel and set aside for now. look behind the caliper and you will see 4 bolts. Take off the two bigger ones to remove the whole assembly. (you may need a hex key, as I cant remember if the bolts are metric or torx.) Be sure to wire the caliper to your strut or make sure it is resting somewhere and dont just leave it hanging or you may get to buy a new brakeline. If you want to take the caliper completely off (not necessary for changing pads, rotor, hub etc) then remove the (10mm?) bolt holding the line to the caliper. To reinstall just follow the instructions in reverse, then bleed the caliper. If you need more help message me and I would be glad to assist. EDIT... You do not have to bleed your brakes if you dont take off the caliper completely.
You need to remove the wheel, the caliper and the caliper mount. After you do that you can remove the caliper.
To replace the brake pads on a 1998 Ford Contour, first, lift the vehicle and remove the wheel. Next, remove the caliper by unbolting it from the bracket, then slide it off the rotor. Replace the old brake pads with new ones, ensuring they are properly aligned, and then reattach the caliper. Finally, reassemble the wheel, lower the vehicle, and pump the brakes to ensure proper function before driving.

Next, locate the brake caliper, remove the caliper bolts, and carefully slide the caliper off the rotor. Remove the old brake pads and install the new ones, ensuring the retaining clips are secure. Finally, reposition the caliper over the rotor, tighten the caliper bolts, and repeat the process on the other side before lowering the vehicle and testing the brakes.
