To remove the front rotors on a 1996 GM 3500 4x4, start by safely lifting the vehicle and securing it on jack stands. Remove the front wheel, then take off the caliper by unbolting it from the bracket and hanging it securely to avoid stress on the brake line. Next, remove the caliper bracket, and then you can slide the rotor off the hub; if it's stuck, gently tap it with a rubber mallet. Finally, replace the rotor with a new one and reassemble the components in reverse order.

Remove the wheel, then take off the caliper by unbolting it and hanging it safely (do not let it dangle by the brake line). Install the new rotor, reattach the caliper and bracket, and finish by putting the wheel back on and lowering the van.

I don't have a Ram 3500 but do own a 1996 V10 Ram 2500 the rotors can be a real pain. They say you can hammer them off but that didn't work for me I removed the main axle nut and put to floor jacks pried against the frame and that popped of the rotor. Gook luck it's a pain, very stupid design dumb engineers.
