this is quite tricky.you have to remove the entire heat box,the pass. side rocker panel, also need to detach the parking brake wire from the assembly itself.most of the screws should be visible, but there a few i had trouble with.you need to drop the steering colum as well.remove the glove compartment along with the dash bezel that holds in the instruments.it's funny though,i hear this is a 30 minute process, but it took me well over 4 hours to completely remove my dash.if you have the model without a/c,this process is pretty quick and you do not need to remove the heatbox.you do though, have to drop the ventilation ducts/heat ducts since they are secured to the backside of the dash.there should be fast screws behind everything on the passenger side.once the glove dept. is removed, you should be able to access these.this is one thing i never want to have to do again.so if you're thinking about redying,i'd do it while it's off.
Bolt on no. With modification yes. You will just use parts of it.
On a 1979 Pontiac Catalina, the fuse box is typically located under the dashboard on the driver's side. You may need to remove a cover or panel to access it. It's generally positioned near the steering column or the left side of the dashboard for easy reach. Always consult the owner's manual for specific details regarding your vehicle.
Some Pontiacs came from the factory with Chevy engines. If this is the case on your 79 firebird, then the transmission will bolt up to a 350 Chevy. If the car came with a Pontiac engine, then the bolt pattern is different and would not bolt up.

With some modifications anything could happen but is better if you get the dash wiring for the 79 firebird.
Not that is not true. They used gold Pontiac Firebird Esprits. Started with 76 models then went to 78 models. They never used the 79 model. Three cars were used each season. They all had Firebird Formula engines but were all Esprits.
Remove the doghouse (engine cover) and remove the heater duct. Then you can access both speakers through the doghouse.

Yes. The firebird and camaro use the same chassis. Use mounts and headers for a camaro, and you'll be all set.
They will fit but the trim and materials may not match
Yes, you can put an 84 Firebird 4-speed transmission into a 79 Firebird that originally had an automatic transmission, but it will require some modifications. You'll need to address the differences in the mounting points, linkage, and possibly the driveshaft. Additionally, you'll need to convert the car to a manual setup, which involves installing a clutch pedal and a master cylinder. It's a project that can be done with the right tools and knowledge but may require some fabrication.
