there is a few screw to the front panel where the instuments are,remove them. them there will be a few smaller, I think their 11/32 screw heads,remove them after all that is undione the cluster should move around freely.DONOT PULL HARD ON IT! lower down the steering colomn then reach inbehind and remove necissary wiring and speedo cable. after that reverse the procedure and away you go on the road back to completion.
remove the trim panel around the instrument cluster then remove cluster. On the back of instrument cluster are the bulbs just turn them half a turn and they come right out.
Remove the two screws at the top of the instrument cluster. This will allow you to pull out the entire bezel. Pull out the bezel, and pop the switch out from the bezel.
You have to remove the instrument cluster to service the light bulbs.
In most 1962 Chevys, the instrument cluster is screwed in from the front. After removing the screws wiggle gently and look to see if any wires or the speedometer cable needs to be unhooked.
I believe that the first digital cluster on a S-10 Blazer was in 1989.

If your looking to remove the entire dash assembly I would recommend purchasing a shop manual to guide you thru it.
Remove the the switches on both sides of the cluster by pulling straight out then remove the two screws between the cluster and the steering column. After those are removed pull the instrument cluster cover towards you(may be hard to get out so pull hard) then their will be 2 more screws to remove the cluster and on the back of the cluster are several twist clips that hold each bulb in the cluster. The bulbs are #194.
To change a light bulb in the instrument panel cluster of your 1988 Chevy G20 van, first disconnect the battery to ensure safety. Remove the dashboard cover by unscrewing any screws or clips, then carefully pull out the instrument panel. Locate the burnt-out bulb, twist it counterclockwise to remove it, and replace it with a new bulb. Reassemble the instrument panel and dashboard cover, then reconnect the battery.

remove instrument cluster, remove 2 screws holding switch in, push switch about 1 inch straight back to clear mounting bracket. pull straight out.
