Well you did not sya if it is a hard or soft top, but I assume a hardtop. Make sure you have some strong friends or a lift to lift the top once the fasteners are loose and a place out of the way to store it- the more friends the better since this thing is HEAVY & awkward. There are 7 screws along the inside top windshield that need to be removed. Then along each side toward the rear are 8 more screws to remove. There is a threaded fastener under these 8 so be ready to catch it. Usually the heads are a T-40 torque bit. Then if your top also has a defroster or wiper, unplug the elcetrical connector. Then have your strong friends lift it off. I have a boat winch & lift kit set up in my garage to lift it off safely by myself, then it stores above the Jeep suspended to the ceiling. The tops weigh I am guessing over 200 lbs so be safe!
