The bolt on the passenger side broke off flush but I was able to remove the remaining part of the threads using some liquid wrench and a small chisel to
slowly tap it around
If that hadn't worked I would have drilled a hole and used an *easy out* screw extractor to remove it.
Now, I just hope I can find a replacement pivot bolt without too much trouble.

Maybe Napa??
To replace the rear hatch supports on a 2000 Oldsmobile Bravada, first, ensure the hatch is securely propped open. Use a socket wrench to remove the bolts securing the old supports at both ends. Carefully detach the old supports and install the new ones by aligning them with the mounting brackets and tightening the bolts. Finally, test the hatch operation to ensure it opens and closes smoothly.

Check answer for Ford Aerostar. All rear hatch shocks are similar. Some have a clamp that needs to be removed, some have a screw that releases the shock from the ball joint. Be sure to support the hatch while doing this or have someone hold it up.

To repair a broken rear hatch handle on a Toyota Sequoia, start by removing the interior panel of the hatch door to access the handle mechanism. Inspect the handle for any broken parts or disconnections; if necessary, replace the handle with a new one. Reattach any loose cables or components and ensure they function properly before securing the interior panel back in place. Finally, test the handle to confirm it operates smoothly.

To replace the support rods on the rear hatch of a 2003 Suzuki Aerio, first, ensure the hatch is securely supported to prevent it from falling. Use a flathead screwdriver to gently pry off the retaining clips or covers that hold the rods in place. Disconnect the old support rods from their mounting points, then attach the new rods by securing them in place and replacing any clips. Finally, test the hatch to ensure it opens and closes smoothly with the new supports.

How to replace a brake light on a nissan Tiida hatch back.
I have to pull a fuse to get mine to work and then replace it. It only works once, so every time I want in the hatch, I have to open the hood, open the fuse box, remove and then replace the fuse. I can then open the hatch once.
