To replace the AC compressor in a Mercury Villager, first, disconnect the negative battery terminal and recover the refrigerant from the AC system. Then, remove the serpentine belt and any components obstructing access to the compressor, such as the mounting brackets. Unbolt the compressor from its mounting points and disconnect the electrical connectors and refrigerant lines. Install the new compressor, reattach the refrigerant lines, reconnect the electrical connectors, and refill the AC system with refrigerant before testing the operation.

how to replace AC compressor on a 97 Buick park Ave
generally u dont replace clutch as it is more prudent to just get a used compressor from junk yard. you will need a pair of snap ring pliers. 1. remove nut on compressor shaft and remove clutch plate. 2. remove snap ring holding pulley on compressor. 3. use two screwdrivers on opposite sides of pulley to help slide off pulley.

The AC port for recharging the air conditioning system on a 2001 Mercury Villager is typically located on the passenger side of the engine bay. Look for the low-pressure service port, which is usually situated on the larger diameter line connected to the AC compressor. It will have a plastic cap, often colored blue or black. Make sure to consult your vehicle's manual for specific details and safety instructions.
