on most cars the the stop light switch can be found by just following the brake arm up under the dash and you will see a plung like switch set up that when you MASH down on the brakes it plunges this swith in activating the brakes light .this swith is not actually connected to the brake pedal arm but a bracket by normally to little bolts loosen bolts and unplug then replace /note-spacing is sometimes tight
