You must first remove the heads. That involves removing all upper peripherals, including but not limited to: intake and exhaust manifolds, Power Steering pump, air conditioning, alternator, distributor and anything else that might interfere with the removal of the heads. After everything is out of the way, remove the rocker arm covers, rocker arms then remove the head bolts and lift the heads.
After you have removed the heads, they should be taken to a reputable machine shop where you should have them planed so that they will be flat again. While you have the heads off you should have the valves and valve guides brought back into original specs.
To anyone who works around that kind of thing very often, it seems pointless to go that deep into the engine without also taking care of the lower end. You might just as well replace pistons, recondition the rods, bore the cylinders, turn or polish the crank, replace the oil pump, align bore the crankcase and replace the cam and lifters. After all of that you will effectifely have a new engine.

remove old thermostat and replace with new thermostat and gasket
located at the end of the upper radiator hose. remove two bolts, replace with new parts remember to replace the gasket.
take it to your local garage
I got one from my local Ford dealer.
easy just unscrew the old one located on top and in the front of engine ...buy a new one and it comes with a new gasket and all use a permetex seal as well.
Sealant does not work. Replace faulty seal or gasket.
