I have a 96 Chevy Blazer S-10 and the latch to open the window in the back hatch will not work. How do I replace the motor?? or whatever to repair?
The latch on the actuator is probably broken... it's a very common problem for the Blazer. Pull off the trim on the rear door, and you'll be able to see it (and replace it) for yourself.
The fuel gauge fuse on 1998 Chevy blazer is located in the front of the blazer. It is on the driver side next to the hook latch.
The fuse box for the fuel gauge on 1998 Chevy blazer is located on the driver side. It is near the hook latch.
Replace the door latch.
Pry the knob off and remove threaded lock ring for 79 blazer as well all 79 Chevy truck without locking latch.
Replace any broken parts or adjust latch assembly
It is called a vent window latch.
Front center of radiator support.
There are 2 screws on the inside that get removed and pull the latch down.
I had the same problem. You blew a Interior light fuse! Its on the same circuit!I had doors open for a long time to clean interior, and next day, back hatch button would not open upper window!!! Richard Los Fresnos Tx
knock out the rollpin located inside on bottom of latch then it just falls apart..
