Replacing the windshield wiper motor on a 85 S10 is simple and a very easy task. First unplug the motor. Then being very careful not to break the bolts on the brackets unscrew them steady force and patience is needed. Once those bolts are free pull up on the wiper blades a little to bring the transmission forward a bit to bring it out of the hole. The bracket bolted to the motor stays on the motor until its taken out of the truck altogether. There's a ball on the end of this that allows the wiper transmission to slide on and off to replace the motor and freely rotate. Take a pair of pliers and at the base of the bracket (not near the bolt) pop it off by moving back and forth. And voila you have take the motor off now to replace it reverse the steps. Good Luck
