there is a screw at the very front towards the winshield take it out and the unit should come down. take out the front compartment shield it should be empty, then make sure your clips are in place and put screw back in this is made easier with having the shield off when tightened replace shield

Do not pry it now or intend to remove it by pulling the loose end. Get the part of the console that is close to the windshield and try to get your fingers in between the ceiling and the base of the console. Pull the console down once you are able to grab the cover. Remove the connector. Installation is the opposite.
