Basically the "dual" means that the driver and passenger can each set their own temperature. The controls are electronic, with a thermostat, so you just set the temperature on each side to what you want it to be. The knob on the left is fan control with auto mode, and the knob on the right (passenger side) is for your airflow/defroster settings. The button on the bottom is for the rear window defroster and the side-view mirrors. The display in the middle shows which temperatures you are set at. Go to www.wjjeeps.com and type HVAC in the search box. All the instructions are there.
TAke it to the dealer where they have the proper machines. That last answer really sucked, spoken like an union mechanic. Go to this link: http://www.justanswer.com/questions/1jjd3-2000-grand-cherokee-split
Actually, I have a 2002 Ram 1500 Sport (new body style, 2nd/3rd gen 'not sure which') and it has dual-climate control. I've also had a 2000 Grand Caravan that had dual-climate control as well.Answeryes starting in 2008 model year Answeryes starting in the 2008 model year If you have two temp controlls, then yes you have dual climate control.
Dual Zone Climate Control: -It is possible with dual zone climate control that every passenger in the car can have separate air conditioning temperature.
It might have climate control (some XLE and solara) but I doubt it has dual.
you cant its impossible nobody knows.
need more information, what year, do you have duel climate control, give me a little more information. If one side is hot and one is cold, you have a distribution problem in the dash. Could be a loose fitting, a broken airflow control door, a controller issue, etc. i don't have dual climate control. 06 jeep grand Cherokee
Could the heater door actuator be bad? What is the cost to replace? This Grand Prix has a dual-zone climate control and when the AC is on, the passenger side vents often change to heat when the control is still on cold.
This is a common problem with these Jeeps. There is a plastic piece inside the thermostat control knob on each side (dual zone), which can break after time. It will not feel like it is broken when you turn it, but it is no longer changing the temperature and it will be stuck on the last setting it was on before it broke. One of your control knobs has this problem. It is a $25-$30 part that can be installed by most A/c repair shops or a Jeep dealership for a lot more.
There are 2 if it is dual climate control
his is a common problem on 99 to 04 Grand Cherokees. The blend(temp) door actually breaks inside of the dash. The only repair is to remove the dash and ac housing and replace the blend door and recuirculation door. Approximatly a 6 hour job for a pro. == ==
the dual climate control valve is bad This has happened to me in the past when the Freon was getting low. Shorty after this I found out I was completely out of Freon. IGNORE THE SECOND ANSWER. THE DUAL CLIMATE CONTROL VALVE IS BAD OR YOU SIMPLY HAVE THE DRIVERS SIDE ON HEAT.
