In 1983, Mercury produced approximately 3,333 units of the Capri RS 5.0. This version of the Capri was equipped with a 5.0-liter V8 engine and was known for its performance-oriented features. The Capri was a sibling to the Ford Mustang, sharing many mechanical components, but it had distinct styling and branding under the Mercury nameplate. Yes, roll bars are available for the 1991 Mercury Capri XR2 Turbo, though options may be limited due to the vehicle's age and production numbers. Many owners opt for custom roll bars or seek aftermarket manufacturers who specialize in older or less common models. It's essential to ensure that any roll bar meets safety standards and fits properly. Checking with specialized automotive shops or online forums for Capri enthusiasts can provide leads on suitable options.

You will not find an after market service manual for the 90-94 mercury capri from either Chiltons or Haynes. I have looked high and low...the Ford dealers in America don't even want to help out with anything connected to the 90-94 Mercury capri. They say a service manual is not avalible. After many days...weeks of research, I have found a web site that can help you out. www.techcapri.com They have downloadable material for servicing the 90-94 Capri. i got a factory service manual thru ford but took about 6 weeks and i had to do alot of the foot work for them.cost is a little over $100 will need a couple 3 ring binders to hold it all.but tells you anything and everything you want to know.
The 1986 Mercury Capri with T-tops was part of a limited production run, and specific numbers can vary. However, it is estimated that around 1,500 to 2,500 units with T-tops were produced that year. This model is considered somewhat rare among collectors today due to its unique features and limited availability. For precise figures, consulting dedicated automotive resources or Mercury production records would be advisable.
