The cost of a key fob battery for a Jeep Cherokee typically ranges from $5 to $15, depending on the brand and where you purchase it. Common battery types for key fobs include CR2032 or CR2016, which are widely available at electronics stores, supermarkets, and online. Additionally, you may incur a small fee if you need to have the battery replaced at a dealership.
Have you replaced the battery in the fob?
To replace the key fob battery in a 2014 Jeep Cherokee, first, use a small flathead screwdriver to gently pry open the key fob along the seam. Once open, remove the old battery, noting its orientation, and replace it with a new CR2032 battery, ensuring the positive side is facing up. Finally, snap the two halves of the fob back together until they click securely. Test the fob to ensure it works properly.

I just saw a post that said to take out the little key, insert a small flathead screw driver into the fob, and it should pop apart to allow battery replacement.
Open the key fob up and look see what battery it contains. Buy that exact battery.
it has to be done by the dealer. =(
To disarm the alarm on a 1997 Jeep Cherokee without a key fob, you can try unlocking the driver's side door with the physical key. If that doesn't work, you can also disconnect the battery for a few minutes to reset the alarm system. Alternatively, check the owner's manual for specific instructions on disarming the alarm or consult a professional for assistance.
If the security system on a 1991 Jeep Cherokee will not allow the jeep to start and the key will not turn in the lock, disconnect the battery for a few minutes. Try the key in the lock with the battery disconnected. If it works the first time, reconnect the battery and the system should be reset. If the key does not work in the lock, reconnect the battery and reprogram the key fob.
A programmed RKE fob (remote) or a chipped key is required.
