I just checked into the price to fix my "fuel sending unit" (that's the official name) and at the dealer it was around $500.00. I ended up changing the unit myself for about $80.00 (bought the part on Ebay.com). The Fuel sending unit(FSU) is inside the gas tank so you will have to get it on a lift or jack it up. After disconnecting a few lines and wires you take the straps off and lower the tank and open the area where the FSU/fuel pump is and your on the home stretch from there. If you need more info, you can YouTube it... that's where I got the info needed to do mine. Good luck
