- I had the same problem with my 88 Honda Accord LX-I Moon Roof, Simple solution. 100 mile an hour tape...AKA Duct Tape! Put Duct tape over all the creases and it will seal it and it will no longer leak...i had many mornings when i was on my way to school and i got drenched in my car at the stop sign at the top of my street, not any more!!! Yes it looks tacky...and you can't open your sun/moon roof but its winter you don't need to open it and would you rather look tacky or wet? and you can always spray paint it the color of your car.

"The channels to find are located behind the inside (boot)trunk left and right plastic covers. You have to remove these to get to them. You may have to take the lhs and rhs seat backs of them and you can work easier if you lower the partition part of the seats. I was sick of having two showers in the morning, so I made it a job of finding them myself. There are some rubber restriction hoses behind there, that for some reason are not open to dirt, but allow water to run through if they are not blocked. Dirt will fill them up and stop water flowing from top of sun roof. The front ones are located inside the front wheel wells facing back They will be filled with mud and stuff. Screws will have to be removed to get them of. Heavy use of water pressure will blast most of it away. Youll see the hoses easy if you have a good torch handy.Dont even try a wire from the top of roof. it does not work..."
I had this issue and after 3 times of unsuccessful "attempts" by the Honda dealer I figured it out and stood beside the car and pointed to the problem for them. There are some wedges near the back of the moonroof frame which act to elevate the rear of the roof into a proper sealing position. These are adjustable. If the roof has had some use this may be a problem on your vehicle. It gets especialy bad if you park on a hill, can't remember if it's nose down or nose up, but you really take a bath if you live in the pacific northwest and this happens.
