It can run between $30 and $60 to replace the oil pan housing for this car. It all depends on where the part is bought, and who does the replacing.

To replace the thermostat housing on a 1994 Volvo 850, first ensure the engine is cool and disconnect the battery. Drain the coolant, then remove the hoses connected to the thermostat housing and unscrew the housing from the engine block. Replace the old housing with a new one, ensuring a proper seal with a new gasket, then reattach the hoses and refill the coolant. Finally, reconnect the battery and start the engine to check for leaks.
The 1994 Chevrolet Beretta thermostat is located on the front of the engine. You can follow the top radiator hose directly to the thermostat housing. The thermostat will be in the thermostat housing.
(1) Open the hood; (2)unscrew the retainer from the back of the headlight; (3)pull the bulb socket out of the headlight assembly; (4)pull out the housing clips and remove the housing from the grill. NOTE:on later models there only 2 clips that are pulled up to release the headlight housing - one on each side. After pulling them up, simply move the headlamp housing forward from the vehicle. It may also be necessary to remove the headlight housing to change the bulb. - Haynes Repair Manual #36071; 1993-2005 Ford Ranger Pickups.
