If the tracker is a "standard shift" not automatic transmission. You could pop start the engine by putting the car in 1st gear, with the clutch pedal down and the ignition on. Roll the car and once car is rolling release clutch pedal. Vehicle should start, hope this is what you ment by "manually".
sounds like starter trouble could be the solenoid or the sprag clutch(bendix)
ask yourself this question is your tracker over heating? if you said yes you may need water pump, thermostat, and engine coolant :)
Just behind black bar over engine, you should see a yellow ring. pull up, it's the dipstick
Dead battery, bad starter, sieged motor. Sounds like it's electrical. On_mitch
A Santa tracker is something that "tracks" santa all over the world on Christmas eve.
Could be locked up, starter could be bad, computer could be dead,.....................
I am assuming you have the 2.0L? If so this is a distributor-less engine with coil over plug ignition. The spark signal comes from the crankshaft position sensor.
COULD BE THE FUZES OR THE STARTER IS BAD .i HAD THE SAME PROBLEM FOR A 92 TRACKER AND I JUST CHANGED THE FUZES ....BUT THEM I HAD TO REPLACE THE STARTER .CHECK THE EASY THINGS FIRST ..
Check your sway bar links. I just had to have these replaced on my 2004 Tracker.
Need more info like, does the starter engage? Does the starter turn the engine over? Does the starter turn the engine over but the engine does not run?
lack of care and maintenance in the radiator dept.....how about checking your radiator fluid? checking the radiator itself for leaks, and replacing your thermostat. if this does not work then the problem could be lack of changing the oil....or burning of your transmission check your oil and tranny fluid.....flush the transmission....also if you tow stuff with your tracker you could easily burn out your transmission and that could cause the vehicle to over heat as well.
I do not have a answer for it, do you an answer for this problem?
