sounds like starter trouble could be the solenoid or the sprag clutch(bendix)
That would indicate that the alternator is not functioning.
Alternator
it doesnt attach to any thing it just flows out onto the ground if it overflows.
Can a 2001 Suzuki Vitara 2.0 Engine be swapped with a 2001 Chevy Tracker engine?
Seized engine? Loose or cooroded battery terminal Bad starter solenoid? Bad neutral or clutch safety switch?
Try disconecting the battery post for a bout 4 hours, and it should reset the computer on the car.
There are mamy reasons this could happen. No fuel, flat battery, engine is siezed, blocked filters are just a few
On my 1996 Geo Tracker automatic transmission 4wd it's located (in the engine compartment) on the passenger directly behind the intake (to the driver side of the battery) I hope that helps
In most cars the battery is in front of the engine. In some cars, it is beneath the truck sometimes with the spare tire.
Dead battery, bad starter, sieged motor. Sounds like it's electrical. On_mitch
Check all the grounds. There are engine grounds that sometimes come loose. I think there is one from the engine to the firewall that comes off sometimes. Bottom line is the alternators are probably fine but without a complete circuit it just wont charge. P.S. If the grounds are just dirty clean them and check for tightness that could explane the sometimes it works sometimes it don't thing.
You have to disconnect the negative battery for 5 min then unhook the positive then re hook the battery this should take care of the pesky engine light if it doesnt then u have to get the code
