There are many things that can cause a car not to crank. It is best to check the fuel lines, all the fuses, and wiring throughout the engine. Any fault in those and a car will not start.
The starter would still crank the engine but the engine will fail to run.
No, the engine will still crank over but will not start if this sensor is bad because it controls the fuel injection circuit.
No, The pcm has to see a signal from the sensor
If the truck has a V 8 engine their is none , these engines still have a distributor located in the front of the engine.
Blow on it. If that doesn't work, turn the engine off.
can you cranck the engine by hand
If you still need to know the crank sensor is located on the front side of the engine mounted just behind the harmonic balancer. That would mean the side of the engine with the belts and behind the big pulley at the bottom of the engine. Hope that helps.
A bad cam or crank sensor can cause a no start, but the engine will still crank or turn over.
run a jumper lead to starter crank connection pos feed if it crancks over check for power from ign switch in crank position on solonoid wire if no power check starter inhibitor switch for correct adjustment if ok check ign switch
There are a few companies that claim to have a procedure to turn a crank while it's still in the engine. In general, they don't work.
Siezed engine, Bad starter, bad starter solenoid, bad/corroded battery cables, weak battery, bad neutral switch
